Project territorial dimension

The area covered by the project was defined as a result of a procedure of delimitation of the regional impact of development area emerging in the South Baltic from Sanct Petersburg to Hamburg, which took place in 2003.
Regional impact zones were created in the area of three regions taking part in the project. The zones were connected with three transport types, namely, road, rail and water transport. The zones brought to the creation of regional impact zone limited by the administrative borders of counties on account of planistic, statistical and methodological factors.

In the project "Development Zone of the VI Tina Corridor" by means of methodology worked out in 1999 a regional impact zone was placed in a separate space division covering three levels at which there were conducted analyses connected with substantial issues implemented in the project. Levels are are marked by numbers, from detailed to general information.

  • 1st level - commune level (local)- covering communes located inside the main impact zone (county), situated directly along the main road and rail track of the development zone and constituting the nearest transport corridor impact area (picture)
  • 2nd level - county level (subregional) - constituting earlier defined interregional impact zone (picture)
  • 3rd level - voivodeship (regional) - constituting administrative reference area, within the responsibilities of regional administration
